Stephan Jost, the new Director of the Honolulu Academy of Arts

After a six month search, the Honolulu Academy of Arts has selected a new Director.  Stephan Jost will take the helm at the Art Academy on May 2^nd.  I spoke with him by phone from Vermont’s Shelburne Museum, where he has been Director for the past five years.

The advance word on Jost was very good, reports in Vermont media and blogposts have been largely favorable.  His manner certainly is engaging!  I hope this interview gives some perspective on the person who will lead this crucial cultural institution.
