Joseph Stiglitz: What's Going On In The World Economy, A Nobel Laureate's View

Columbia Professor Joseph Stiglitz is one of the most quoted economists in the world, though his views often run counter to prevailing trends.  Currently he is most concerned about the income gap in American society.  He maintains income inequality peaked before both the Great Depression and the Great Recession, because inequality caused demand to go down, which was offset by a manufactured bubble, which burst.  Now, in the absence of both able consumers and a bubble, check out what he recommends.  Check these links for additional fascinating material, as well as the discussion on his facebook page:
