Menehune Tales: Up Koke'e With Frederick Bruce Wichman

January 21, 2013

One chilly evening in a tiny state cabin up Koke'e, Mr. Wichman came by to share his stories about the Menehune, the people of diminutive stature who once lived on Kaua'i.  Mr. Wichman, whose great grandfather was the last Governor of Kaua'i, has many cherished childhood memories of the area.  His amazing recall of old Kaua'i is a treasure.  Thank you so much, Mr. Wichman!  Look for his books, starting with Kaua'i Stories on Bamboo Ridge Press.
