Translucent layers of wax have been splattered, scraped, brushed, poured, stenciled, stamped and painted on in layers.  Patterns and images conjure up the changeability, volatility, and feminine power of an earth goddess. 

This painting was part of a collaborative exhibition on the theme of Earth.  Earth is the first of five Buddhist elements I am exploring in a series of shows with six exciting female artists.
